The Noland's vacation with the Remmer's

This year for spring break we decided we would rent a house a at Rockaway Beach on the Oregon Coast.  Needless to say when the Noland's and Remmer's get together, lets just say good times and memorable moments are bound to happen.

~ Day 1
We leave for the coast 7:00am and are driving separate vehicles.  Vehicle 1 Justin, LaCosta. Wyatt and Broc.  We listened to the boys singing Johnny Cash and two pee stops later.  As Danielle would say Ryan has the bladder of a squirrel.  Vehicle 2 Ryan, Danielle, Abby and Bailee.  They listen to a lot of barbie talk.................... Finally we get to Tillamook  Just a little note its tradition for Justin to buy a gun and get a tattoo when we go to the coast.  I know what you're thinking white trash and yes we are but I prefer the term stick built trash. lol.  Needless to say a gun was purchased within 30 minutes of being at the coast.

~Day 2
It was a long night.  Justin had the flu bug before we made are way to the coast, but he insisted we were still going on the family vacation schedule which leaves me at the point were I tell you it was a long night.  He woke up to feeling like he was going to drowned. His breathing was heavy and short.  So I moved him to the couch to try and sleep upright.  So after a long night of showers, coughing and shortness of breath I decided to diagnose Justin.  I informed if that I believed he had pneumonia and he had fluid in his lungs.  I made numerous calls and final found an Urgent health care in Tillamook they opened at 8:00am.  To make a long story short the doctor tells Justin he has pneumonia and does a breathing treatment right their.  I told the doctor that I just needed to have the M.D added to the back of my name and skip the schooling because that's what I diagnosed him with this morning.  After we left and picked up 4 different medications for Justin we were headed back to the vacation house to relax and that's exactly what we needed.  We just relaxed around the house and let the kids run around like crazy wild weirdo's.......Went down to the beach, which is always peaceful and beautiful.  Like my friend Danielle's says when you look at the ocean how can you not believe in GOD.

~Day 3
It's tattoo day Ryan and Justin had appointments at 11:30.  In the mean time while the boys are getting inked Danielle and I are trying to entertain 4 monsters.  We took them to lunch in seaside where I know we scared are waiter he was in for a real treat the minute he said I will be your waiter today.  I apologized right off the back, the lovely couple setting next to us before the craziness began....They just sat their and laughed.  From there we did ice cream cones, the beach, the park, bumper cars, spin around, carousel and an arcade.  Yeppers at that point all Danielle and I wanted to do was DRINK!!!!!  We picked up the boys at 4:30.  We had dinner out (Lumber Yard) It was yummy and so were our Bloody Mary's.......

~Day 4
Justin is extremely tired so we had a lazy day.  Ryan took the boys to the Airplane Museum in Tillamook and We took the girls for a pedicure. Ryan made an amazing dinner......Yep hat's right Ryan made dinner of course with a little help from Betty Crocker and Rachael Ray.....(That's Danielle and I). Went down to the beach and let the kids play. " Friendship: a building contract you sign with laughter and break with tears." That quote comes from the card game we play a lot of it's call 9 holes kids version or other wise known as shit on your neighbor.  We laughed so hard, lets just say that when Ryan looked at me and said he would rather eat a shit sandwich and smile before he gave me his card. Ryan also stated he would rather slap himself then given me a joker (wild card) a blink later out of know where Ryan slapped himself so hard I was laughing so much that I began to cry.  It was most differently a priceless moment.

~Day 5
We are homeward bound.  It's amazing when you leave town how excited you are to leave and by the end of your vacation all you want to do is come home.....

There was a lot of memorable moments of I papi, the spatula, singing, dancing, sling shots, and weird sounds, but what can I say that's what you get when you mix the Noland's with the Remmer's  We are so blessed to have them as friends and family.

"Friends are God's way of taking care of us."
